Workplace Fundraising Policy
1. Purpose
[Company Name] welcomes and supports employee fundraising for charitable causes. This policy sets out what kinds of fundraising activity we support and how to organise them.
2. Eligible causes
Any UK registered charity, charitable incorporated organisation (CIO), or community amateur sports club (CASC).
3. Workplace events
Bake sales, dress-down days, charity quizzes, raffles, and similar events held at the workplace are encouraged. Please run plans by [HR / office manager] at least [X] days in advance to coordinate scheduling and avoid clashes.
4. Sponsorship
Employees raising money for a personal sponsored challenge (marathon, Three Peaks, cycle ride, head shave, etc.) can request a company match of up to £[Match Cap] from our matched giving budget.
5. Use of company facilities
Meeting rooms, communal kitchens, and internal channels (Slack, intranet) may be used to promote fundraising activity, subject to the same conduct standards as other internal communications.
6. Raffles and lotteries
Small raffles held at the workplace are typically exempt under the Gambling Act 2005 (Workplace Lotteries). Larger raffles may require a licence — please check with [HR] before going ahead.
7. Reporting
Funds raised are reported in the annual community impact report.
