Charity of the Year — [Year] Policy

1. Purpose

Each year, [Company Name] supports one chosen charity through a coordinated programme of fundraising, volunteering, and matched giving.

2. Selection

The Charity of the Year is selected by an all-staff vote in [Month] from a shortlist of UK registered charities, with a working group of staff volunteers managing the shortlist process.

3. Activities

Across the year, the company will support our chosen charity through: at least one flagship fundraising event, ongoing matched giving, and at least one volunteering opportunity per quarter.

4. Targets

We aim to raise £[Target] for our Charity of the Year through staff fundraising, with [Company Name] matching every £1 raised up to £[Match Cap].

5. Reporting

Progress will be shared monthly in the all-staff update. A final impact report will be produced at year-end, with the agreement of the charity, to share publicly.

6. Review

This policy is reviewed annually.
